Mrs. Otto (Emily) Klug, 91, Green Bay, died Thursday, October 2, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born March 25, 1912, to the late Andrew and Christine (Hansen) Rasmussen in Glenmore, Wisconsin. On December 29, 1933, she married Otto Klug in Green Bay; he preceded her in death January 19, 1994. Emily was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the Rebekah Lodge #185.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John and Hae Cha Klug, Lake Geneva; one daughter, Nancy Johnson, Ashwaubenon; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Heather) Johnson; David Johnson; Karen "Cookie" (Jeff) Vercauteren; Sharon (Kenny) Anderson; Marc (Jennifer) Klug; Monica (Gary) Goebel; Eric Klug (special friend, Chris), Jeff (Betsy) Crabtree; Mack (Laura) Crabtree; and Russell Crabtree (Fortune); 13 great-grandchildren, Colby and Shasta Vercauteren; Niel and Gary Anderson; Otto III Goebel; Andrew and Ella Klug; Lydia, Emily and Amelia Crabtree; Tyler and Hailey Crabtree; and Jessica Christman; two sisters, Alice La Frombois and Elvira Ferron, both of Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Elaine Rasmussen, Green Bay; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including a very special friend, Arlene Eger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ann, Hannah and Gladys; three brothers, Ervin, Lloyd and Clifford; her son-in-law, Lynn Johnson; and one granddaughter, Laura Klug.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2003, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., where a Rebekah Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Lutheran Church where the funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Froseth officiating. Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the nurses, therapists and staff of Western Village for the special care that was given.A memorial fund has been established.
