MRS. HARRIETT LISTFR.
Hunnewell, Mo., Feb. 16.—Mrs. Harriett Lister, 69, died at her home here Wednesday night.
Harriett E. Hamilton, daughter of the late C. A and Mary Jane Hamilton, was born May 2, 1866, on the old Hamilton homestead in Monroe county, south of Lakenan. She was first married January 4, 1887 to S. T. Gough and until his death in January 1892 they lived for several years in Hannibal. In November, 1894, she married William N. Lister of Clarence and with the exception of eight years in Clarence she spent the remainder of her life in this community.
Mrs. Lister was a member of the Catholic church in Hunnewell where funeral services in charge of the Rev. Father Grace, of Shelbina, were held Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Burial was at the Catholic cemetery in Shelbina.
Surviving are six children, Homer H. Gough, of Lakenan, Mrs. K. S. Browne and Mrs. Anna May Pollard, of Hunnewell, Mrs. C. J. Maddox of Essex, la., G. T. Lister of Red Oak, la., and W. T. Lister of New York city. A son, Merlyn Lister and an infant daughter preceded her in death. She alos leaves eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, James Hamilton, of Clarence, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Anna Patrick of Joplin, Mo.
