Arthur G. Jenckes Sr., 77, of 403 Mendon Rd., a machine operator at Glass-Kraft Corp. in Slatersville for 10 years before retiring in 1976, died Wednesday at Landmark Medical Center-Woonsocket Unit. He was the husband of Arlene (San Soucie) Jenckes.
Born in Slatersville, he was the son of the late George W. and Nellie (O'Neill) Jenckes.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Arthur G. Jenckes Jr. of Bellingham, Mass., and Kenneth D. Jenckes of Santee, Calif.; a daughter, Shirley Roy of Harrisville; a sister, Helen Jenckes of Providence; a half-sister, Joan Jenckes of Smithfield; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Egidio DiPardo & Son's Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket. Burial will be in Slatersville Cemetery, Green Street, North Smithfield.
