Vivian L. Offenhiser, 94, of Pearl City died on Monday, May 17, 2010, at FHN Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 27, 1916, in Pearl City to Glenn and Ethel (Hammond) Barklow. On March 14, 1934, Vivian married Reynold C. Offenheiser.
Vivian is a retired employee of Freeport Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Offenhiser was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Kent. She was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and member of Isabel Chapter #322 of Lena.
Vivian and Reynold loved to play euchre and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. They also enjoyed boating on the Mississippi.
She is survived by one daughter, Darlene B. Janssen of Freeport; three grandchildren, Kim (Keith) Franklin of Madison, Wis., Gina (David) Timm of Cedarville, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Jansen of Huron, Ohio, Brandis Peterson of Maine and Blaine Steffes of Kiln, Miss.; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Orleda Strohecker of Freeport and Doris Icenbice of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Warren (Mary) Barklow of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 25, 1996; one son, Wayne; son-in-law Henry Janssen; and three brothers, Donald, Victor and Clint.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 21, at Offenheiser-Schwarz Funeral Home in Pearl City with Pastor Carole Andres of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. Friday until time of service at the funeral home.
A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul Lutheran Church.
