Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. MDT Wednesday in South Park Cemetery in Roswell, N.M. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Born Sept. 10, 1927, in Roswell to T.B. and Ruby Barnes, Jane gave her heart to Jesus Christ at a young age and was a charter member of First Assembly of God in Roswell. She married Ben Jones on Oct. 28, 1943, and they resided in Roswell until his untimely death on Oct. 21, 1962.
Jane relocated to Amarillo in 1979 to become sales manager for Mayflower Moving and Storage. Still active at 84 years young, she was employed by Plains North American Moving and Storage at the time of her death.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters,
Patricia Garnell and Janetta Ruth Jones; and two
brothers, Alvin Barnes and John Darrell Barnes.
Survivors include three sons, Lindell B. Jones and wife Sue of West County, St. Louis, Windell G. Jones and wife Frani of Wilmington, Del., and Coye Dean Jones of Houston; Estelle McClain Powell of Midland; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
