Mr. Lett was born October 9, 1914 in McDonald County, to Elza Earl Lett and Mary Jane (Laughlin) Lett. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a self-employed well driller for 25 years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Goodman.
He married Maxine Rose Harbeston on December 22, 1934, in Bristow, Oklahoma. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Duane Lett, Goodman, Darrell Lett, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma and Eugene Lett, Blytheville, Arkansas, two brothers, Marshall Lett, Pineville and Vernie Lett, Neosho, four sisters, Floy Barnes, Goodman, Geraldine Sparks and Carol Lowe, both of Carthage and Alma Smith, Kansas City, Missouri, nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford Lett and Larry Lett and a sister, Meta Reardon.
Sevices under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, Goodman, with Dr. Bob Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Howard Cemetery, Goodman.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Lett, Brad Lett, Mike Lett, Jason Bilby, John Mayfield and Leslie Shelton.
