Jearldine Blunk Sparks, 82 years, of Goodman, Missouri departed this life on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.

Jearldine was born on June 11, 1925 in the Bethpage Community in rural McDonald County, Missouri, daughter of the late Elza Earl and Mary Jane (Laughlin) Lett. She was a lifelong area resident of McDonald County. On August 23, 1950 she was united in marriage to William "Jiggs" Blunk and together they shared twenty-nine years before his passing on April 27, 1980. Besides being a loving homemaker to her husband and family, Jearldine also worked several years for the McDonald County School District as a cook and janitor. She later married Carroll P. Sparks on September 14, 1994 and he preceded her in February of 2003. She was a member of the Splitlog Baptist Church and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, sewing and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William "Jiggs" Blunk and Carroll P. Sparks; two sons, John Joseph and Timothy Michael Giberti; a sister, Meta Reardon; and three brothers, Chalmer, Clifford and Vernie Lett.

Jearldine is survived by two sons, Nick Giberti and wife, Joyce, of Goodman, Missouri and Allen Blunk and wife, Margo, of Bella Vista, Arkansas; a daughter, Leah Jackson of Goodman, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter; a brother, Marshal M. Lett and wife, Elizabeth, of Pineville, Missouri; three sisters, Floy Barnes of Goodman, Missouri, Alma Smith and husband, Harold, of Kansas City, Missouri and Carol Lowe and husband, O.D., of Carthage, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Jearldine Blunk Sparks are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at the Splitlog Baptist Church near Goodman, Missouri with Bro. Jarvis Spears officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery west of Anderson, Missouri. Her grandsons will honor her life by serving as pallbearers, Rusty Ludiker, and Todd, Eric, Cody, Traven and Darby Giberti. Honorary pallbearers are, Bill Ludiker, John Walker, Steve Lett, Tony Gonzalez, Gene Lett and Duane Lee Lett. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6-8:00 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes. Memorials are being directed to the Pineville/Jane American Legion Post # 392 and contributions may be left at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
