Mrs. Accardo passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012. She was born June 12, 1925 to the union of Fred Wallace and Jinny Bell Taylor in Georgetown, LA. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and Ouachita Council on Aging. She was an avid line dancer with the O.C.A. and loved entertaining and playing bingo.
Mrs. Accardo was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 64 years, Joseph A. Accardo; and daughter, JoLynn Accardo Lewis.
She is survived by her grandson, Lance Joseph Lewis; her sisters, Chris Horton and husband Bob, and Lula Brents; and brother, Fred Taylor and wife Jean. She is also survived by 31 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mickey and Michael Lofton, Ted Sr., Ted Jr., Tim Davidson, and Joey Accardo.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and a Vigil Wake Service at 6:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Caregivers, nephew Jody Lofton and niece Kay Davidson, Dr. Eppinette, 5th Floor Nursing Staff at St. Francis Medical Center, Shelby, Randy, and staff at Avalon Nursing Home.
