Ray was preceded in death by his wife Norine and several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his five children: Richard (Kay), David, Michael, Janet and Kathy; grandchildren Jeremy, Patrick, Christopher (Cory), Allison (Brent), Matthew, Kaisha, Riley, Cody; great grandchildren, Sophia and Stella; and sister Helen.

Ray Eltrich, 92, was born in Heisler Alberta, Canada December 29, 1917 and passed away February 6, 2010. Ray graduated from Bellarmine High School in 1934. He served his country in Europe during World War II. Ray worked in the construction trades as a heavy equipment operator for over 35 years. He was member of the Operating Engineers and for many years owned and operated Eltrich Bros. Construction Company. Ray was devoted to his family and friends; he enjoyed fishing, hunting and helping others with projects. Ray enjoyed people and they enjoyed him. He loved to cook and one of his greatest delights was to catch salmon, smoke salmon, and share it with others. Ray was preceded in death by his beloved wife Norine and several brothers and sisters. Ray is survived by his five children Richard (Kay), David, Michael, Janet and Kathy; grandchildren Jeremy, Patrick, Christopher (Cory), Allison (Brent), Matthew, Kaisha, Riley, Cody; great grandchildren, Sophia and Stella; sister Helen, many nieces and nephews. Ray was a member of Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Tacoma.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010, 6:00 pm followed by a Vigil at 7:00 pm at Gaffney Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, 11:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.
