Mr. Crisp grew up and attended school at Manes and Mountain Grove.
He married Rita Shannon. They had two daughters.
He later married Florence Brodt. They had one son.
Mr. Crisp was employed at shoe factories in Cabool and Houston for many years. He also worked in construction, landscaping and at area sawmills.
He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and gardening, spending time with his family and making homemade ice cream.
He was preceded in death by his mother and stepmother, Alice Crisp.
Surviving are his father of Sparta; daughters, Sarah Ellen Hoots and Sheila Hemby of Mountain Grove; son, Adam Gene Crisp of Licking; three brothers, Frank Muzzy of Sparta, Mike Flynn of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Donald Crisp of Houston; four sisters, Sherry Blakely of Louisiana, Rosie McIntosh of Mountain Grove, Leta Southerland of Wright City and Mistie Williams of Seymour; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were Jan. 17 at the Manes Cemetery with the Rev. Zach Williams officiating under the direction of Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home of Mountain Grove.
