OBITUARY: Blue Earth County Enterprise, Aug. 10, 1961Mrs. McGregor Burial Held Here   A short service was held in the Crone Mortuary Monday afternoon for Mrs. Katherine McGregor, former Mapleton resident, who died last Wednesday afternoon at Salt Lake City, Utah. The Rev. B.G. Witt officiated and interment was made in Union cemetery with the casket bearers Arch and Bruce McGregor, J.J. Dobie, E.O. Healy, L.J. Will and Melvin Swenly of Le Sueur.   Mrs. McGregor was born May 5, 1881 in Wilton, Waseca county, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Brisbane. She was married May 9, 1899 to Benjamin F. McGregor, and their first home was in New Richland where Mr. McGregor was engaged in the practice of law. A few years later they moved to Mapleton which was their home until the death of Mr. McGregor in 1946. Two years later she went to Salt Lake City, Utah, to be near her son and family and it was there she passed away suddenly last Wednesday. Funeral services were held in Salt Lake City Saturday.   She is survived by her son Frazer McGregor of Salt Lake City and her daughter Mrs. Janet Guler of Atlanta, Georgia.   Frazer McGregor arrived Monday morning from Salt Lake City and met his sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. George Guler of Atlanta. Others from a distance attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Art Brisbane and Mrs. Gene Turnacliff, Waseca, cousins of Mrs. McGregor; Dr. and Mrs. J.M. Dobie, St. Peter; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Swenly, Le Sueur.   Thomas McDonald and James Remington of Minneapolis, executives of the Honeywell Company with which George Guler is associated, were also among those present for the final rites.

Waseca Journal, Aug. 9, 1961Mrs. McGregor, Former County Resident Dies   Mrs. Ben McGregor, former resident of New Richland and Mapleton, died Wednesday at the home of her son in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 80 years.   Mrs. McGregor's husband was an attorney in New Richland until 1904 when they moved to Mapleton where he became a banker.   She is survived by her son, Frazer, and a daughter, Mrs. Walter Guler, Atlanta, Georgia.   A graveside service was held at Union cemetery, Mapleton, at 2 p.m. Monday.
