Anna Kazmierczak, age 84 of East Grand Forks, MN passed away on Monday, March 26, 2012 at her daughter's home in East Grand Forks, MN.
Anna Slominski was born on June 25, 1927 in rural Ardoch, ND the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Nice) Slominski.
Anna grew up on a farm and attended rural school in Ardoch, ND. On November 4, 1947 she was united in marriage to Leonard Kazmierczak in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw, ND. They moved to East Grand Forks, MN in 1960. Anna worked for Valley Memorial Homes, The University of North Dakota, Good Samaritan Nursing Center in East Grand Forks, MN and also was employed with Norby's Department Store in Grand Forks. Anna also enjoyed being in the Foster Grand parent Program.
Family members of Anna include her children, David (Bonnie) Kazmierczak, and Elaine (Richard) Werness both of East Grand Forks, MN; six grandchildren, Heather, Jessica, Stephanie, Jason, Darren and Jamie; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley, Samual, Jack, Jesse, Olivia, Sydney, Aiden and one "soon to be" which would then be eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Julian (Gladys) Slominski of Grand Forks, ND; three sisters, Francis Czapiewski of East Grand Forks, MN, Bernice (Steve) Vanyo of Grand Forks, ND and Johanna Dusek of Grafton, ND along with many nieces and nephews.
Anna is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Kazmierczak on February 6, 2003; two brothers, Stanley and Harry Jr. Slominski; one sister, Veronica Strauss and one grandson Jeremy Werness.
