MRS. LYDIA SLONIKER
SOLDIERS GROVE, Wis. - Mrs. Lydia Sloniker died Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harold Haines after a lingering illness.
She was born Feb. 21, 1878, and was married in 1898 to Ernest Sloniker of La Valle, Wis., where the couple lived for several years before coming to Soldiers Grove.
Survivors are her husband, Ernest, La Crosse; two sons, Fay and Welton, Soldiers Grove; two daughters, Mrs. Dewey Lester, Gays Mills and Mrs. Haines; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Tom Davenport, Soldiers Grove.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Haines home and at 2:30 p.m. from the Christian church, with the Rev. Philip Davenport officiating. Burial will be at Readstown, Wis.
