Joseph Robert Bell, 78, died suddenly Friday night at his home on route 1, Meridian. He was born March 28, 1873, in Everton, Mo. He married Elizabeth B. Small on Aug. 22, 1894 in Dade County, Missouri. He came to Idaho in 1902, making his home in the Boise valley. He married Edna M. Strawn on Nov. 12, 1929 in Meridian, Ada County, Idaho.

Besides his wife, Mrs. Edna Bell, he is survived by two sons, Oliver Bell, Salt Lake City, and Tom Bell, Eugene, Ore., and four daughters, Mrs. Deane Ulmer, Meridian, route 1; Mrs. Blanche Millis, Vernonia, Ore., Mrs. Veda McFadden, Nampa, route 2, and Mrs. Rebecca Fowler, Grants Pass, Ore.
