Julio was born in Barisciano, Aquila, Italy, on April 7, 1885 the son of Davide & Agnes (Nacci) DeFelice.
Sometime before 1913 he married Meri "Maria" Panone in Italy and she survives.
Julio immigrated to the United States by himself, arriving at Ellis Island on March 20, 1913 aboard the S.S. Majestic which had departed from Southampton, England. His wife would not immigrate until March 1920. Julio found work in southeastern Ohio as a coal miner.
Julio is survived by one son, Adam (Sarah) DeFelice, of Bellaire; 3 daughters: Agnes "Aggie" (Harry) Copper and Mary (Robert) Turner, both of Shadyside; Emma (J. Robert) Closser of Kenton, Ohio; 9 grandchildren: Victoria "Vicki" DeFelice; Kathleen "Kathy" & Pamela "Pammy" Copper; Shirley, Nancy, and Linda Closser; Bob, Mary "Sissy", and Louis Turner; 1 step-grandson, James deBlasis, Jr.; 1 brother Dominic (Dominica) DeFelice of Bellaire; 2 nephews: Rinaldo & Tony DeFelice
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Attilio who died in infancy, and a brother Adamo who died in Italy during WWI.
Funeral mass held at St. John's Catholic Church with burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire.
