FOUNTAIN GREEN, UT-
Dorothy Aiken Cook, age 60, of Fountain Green, passed away on Sept. 25, 2002, at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah. She was born November 20, 1941 in SpringCity, Utah, to Archibald Q. and Irene Tolley Aiken.
She married James Louis Cook on June 25, 1965 in the Manti LDS Temple.
Dorothy was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she always put others needs before her own. She graduated from North Sanpete High School, Snow College and received a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Utah State University. She valued education and was a dedicated teacher for 34 years.
Dorothy was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many capacities on the ward and stake levels. She was currently serving as a ordinance worker at the Manti Temple.
Dorothy served on the Snow College Alumni Board, North Sanpete Credit Union Board and the Central Valley Medical Center Board. Dorothy enjoyed traveling, shopping, collecting antiques and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Louis; five children, Jamie (Bret) Jensen of South Jordan, Julie (Jason) Giles of Sandy, Jon L. (Shelly) Cook of Fountain Green, Ryan A. (Darcie) Cook of Fountain Green, Jared S. Cook of Fountain Green, seven grandchildren, three sisters, Annette (Kenneth) Sears of Sandy, Linda (Osral) Allred of Spring City, and Sandra (Boyd) Beck of Spring City.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be Saturday, September 28, 2002 at the Fountain Green 2nd Ward Chapel (151 S. 200 W.) Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Magleby-Furner Mortuary (96 N. 100 W., Mt. Pleasant) and Saturday from 10:30-11:30 at the church prior to the services. Burial will be in the Fountain Green Cemetery.
