Mary Annette Sears passed away peacefully on August 18, 2014.

She was born September 4, 1936 to Archibald Aiken and Irene Tolley Aiken in Spring City, Utah, the first of four sisters.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

While living in Salt Lake City, she met Kenneth Ralph Sears. They were married on November 3, 1962 and sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 15, 1965. She raised four children in Sandy, Utah, where she lived for thirty-one years. In 2002, they moved to the Ranches in Eagle Mountain, Utah.

Annette enjoyed being with her husband and children. She strongly supported her children's interests, traveling to see her son in sports, then anywhere needed for her grandchildren's activities. She loved her great-grandsons and showed pictures of them often. Reading, journal writing, and gardening were her hobbies.

Annette had many church callings, most notably as a special-needs Primary teacher, secretary in the Young Women's organization, and ward librarian.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Dorothy (Louis) Aiken Cook. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her two sisters, Linda (Osral) Aiken Allred and Sandra (Boyd) Aiken Beck; her four children, and their families, Kenneth (Christine) Ralph Sears, Jr., Verene (Larry) Ann Sears Froisland, Wayne (Juleen) Ross Sears, and Jeanine (Ron) Thurman; fifteen grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.
