Eliza Hale was born May 24, 1814, the daughter of Nathan and Sarah (Whitcomb) Hale. She married, April 5, 1838, Levi Russell, the son of Eliakim and Sarah (Converse) Russell. Eliza and Levi had five children, their first and fourth child died young. She died February 22, 1858.
