Funeral Services for Nellie Pearl Beach, 90, of Leonard, were held on Wednesday, February 26, 1992 at 2:00 p.m. at Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Cherry Box. Rev. Charles Grove and Rev. Jim Johnston officiated. Burial was in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
She died Sunday afternoon February 23, 1992 at approximately 12:20 p.m. at the Salt River Nursing Home in Shelbina.
Mrs. Beach was born in Leonard on October 22, 1901 the daughter of the late Charles H. and Edna Derringer Miles.
On January 6, 1924 she was united in marriage to George Beach in Leonard. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1940.
She is survived by two children: Dorothy May Harder and Nellie Ann Dodd, both of Leonard; one sister: Beulah Wear of Shelbina; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Miles on January 28, 1992; three sisters: Irene Fifer, Jewell McDowell and Elma Beach on February 12, 1992; and one granddaughter, Karen Elaine Harder.
She was a member of the Church of the Brethren.
