Elaine left us after a four-year illness. She was born in Winslow, Arkansas and was adopted by family members as a baby and grew up in Davis, Oklahoma. She came to the Bay Area as a young adult and was an Enrolled Agent with the IRS and a Tax Accountant until her stroke at age 78. She was married to Albert J. Groeger for 30 years and to Roy E. Parkinson for 18 years and was widowed by both. She leaves behind 2 step-daughters, Alberta Ash of Antioch and Cora Jones of Santa Maria, 2 nephews and their wives, Jeff and Karol Bedford, Bill and Shirley Bedford of Stockton, Marita and Barry Rost of Brentwood, Mary and Paul Beardslee of Alameda, 3 grandchildren, Alica Morrow of Sacramento, Bruce Johnson of Antioch, Tina Parkinson of Bakersfield, and 3 great-grandchildren.
