Wanda Willadean Fisher, 81, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012, at Miller's Merry Manor, Peru. Born Jan. 9, 1931, in Butler Township, Miami County, she was the daughter of Howard and Lucy (Glassburn) Ramer.

On Feb. 6, 1953, in Peru, she married Carter D. Fisher, who died Oct. 9, 1998. She was a 1948 graduate of Peru High School, after attending elementary and junior high school at Butler Township School. She worked for Honeywell in Wabash, retiring after 44 years of service.

She was called "Willy" by most of her family and friends. Willy loved her cat, Calico, and all other animals and birds that visited her rural yard. She also enjoyed visits from her family and special neighbors.

She is survived by a brother, Harold (Nellie) Ramer, Peru; sisters-in-law Linda Fisher, Macy, and Mary Fisher, Peru; nephews and nieces, Rick (Sandy) Warner, Kokomo, Randy Fisher, Macy, Rex Fisher Jr., Gary Fisher, Craig Fisher and Brian Fisher, all of Peru, Thomas (Beverly) Ramer, Galveston, Mike (Angie) Ramer, Peru, Linda (Ron) Woodruff, Akron, and Teresa Church, Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and stepfather Lloyd Wissinger.

Visitation is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Flowers and Leedy Funeral Home, 103 W. Third St., Peru. A graveside service will follow at Parklawn Cemetery, Amboy, officiated by Chaplain Ken Rushing.
