NEW BOSTON, TEXAS- Edith Modean Sellars Ratliff, 93 years old, Born October 18, 1918 in Birthrite, Texas. Resident of Simms, Texas died March 20, 2012 in Naples, Texas.
She was preceded in death by husband James William Ratliff, son Jimmy Lawrance, daughter, Neta Faye Pace, Mother Olty Pearl Sellars, Father Sam Bain Sellars and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two brothers Frank Sellars, Doogin Sellars and one sister Lou Johnson. She is survived by seven children, four sons and three daughters in law, John Wayne and Imjean Ratliff of DeKalb, Texas, William Lee Ratliff of Simms, Texas, Fred and Alice Ratliff of New Boston, Texas, James Allen and Barbara Ratliff of New Boston, Texas, three daughters and two sons in law, Ruby Gibbs of Naples, Betty Joyce and James McCord of Naples, Texas, Dora Bernice and Elbert Roach of Simms, Texas twenty two grandchildren, forty two great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren.
She was a longtime member of College Hill Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Sand Hill Cemetery with sons, Pastor John Ratliff and Pastor James Ratliff officiating.
