S.B. Sellars, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014, at a local nursing center. He was 83. S.B. was born April 28, 1930, in De Kalb, Texas, to Sam Bane and Olty Bates Sellars.
He was an Equipment Technician with GTE Telephone Co. and a member of Pinkham Memorial Missionary Baptist Church in De Kalb, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Beverly Jane Sellars, on January 17, 2013. He is survived by two sons, Stan Allen Sellars of De Kalb, Texas and Charles Sellars of De Kalb, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn Joy and Dennis Peterson of Dalby Springs, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:30 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Bro. John Ratliff officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
