The death of Mrs. Amelia N. Brown, widow of Jacob S. Truax. occurred last evening at 3 o'clock at the home of her son. Herbert H. Truax in First avenue, heart trouble being the cause. Mrs. Truax was born in Martinsburg, but practically all of her life had been spent in this village, where she was well known and respected and where she had many friends.
She was 73 years of age and survived her husband by four months. H. H. Truax and Albert K. Truax, both of Herkimer, are surviving sons and there are four grandchildren: one sister, Mrs. B. B. Belcher of Dolgeville, and two brothers, Gilbert Brown of Stratford and Horace Brown of Dolgeville, also surviving. The funeral will be held to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. J. A. Chapman officiating.
