Mrs. Betty Douglas Bryant, age 80, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2012 after an extended illness. She passed peacefully at home and has gone to be with her Father in Heaven. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 12PM at Lake Country Baptist Church, 1259 Crooked Creek Rd., Eatonton, GA 31024 with Dr. Harry Michels officiating.

Interment will be held Thursday (3/19/2012) at 11AM in the Georgia Veteran�s Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Bryant was a native of Atkinson County, had lived in Warner Robins for many years, and had made her home on Lake Sinclair since 1986. She was the daughter of the late Duncan Allen Douglas and Nettie Gillis Douglas and was preceded in death by her daughter Bonnie Hufstetler, 3 sisters, and 5 brothers. Mrs. Bryant was a member at Lake Country Baptist Church where she participated in the Maranatha Sunday School Class and sang in the Choir. She was a member of the Lantana Homemakers Club of Warner Robins and was a Volunteer Firefighter.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years John Evans Bryant of Lake Sinclair; daughters Betty Yvonne (Jay) Webler of Lilburn and Denise B. Massey of Milledgeville; son John E. �Jay� Bryant, Jr. of White, GA; sister Doris Carter of Lakeland, FL; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
