Mr. John Evans Bryant, Sr., age 90, passed away on February 9, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 11 AM in Lake Country Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10 AM until the service hour.
Mr. Bryant was a native of Douglas, GA and had made his home at Lake Sinclair since 1986. He was the son of the late William Cullen and Ardelia Joyce Bryant, and was predeceased by his wife, Betty Douglas Bryant; daughter, Bonnie Hufstetler; brothers, William "Bill" Douglas, Jack Douglas, Warren "Don" Douglas, and Jimmy Douglas; and sisters, Lizzie Harper, Fannie Cleland, and Gertrude Drew. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps and the Air Force, having served in WWII. He also retired from Robins Air Force base and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a volunteer firefighter and a member of Lake Country Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
