Services for Chester Johnson, 77, Warsaw, Ind., and formerly of Hopkinsville, will be at 2 pm Friday at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home with the Rev. John R. Christian officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Chapel Cemetery, Christian County. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday.
Mr. Johnson died Monday in a Warsaw nursing home.
A native of Christian County, he was born Nov. 4, 1898, the son of John R. and Mary Ann Withers Johnson. He was retired and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rose Goode Johnson; one son, Bill Johnson, Churubusco, Ind.; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Nancy Ann) Weirick, Warsaw; three sisters, Mrs. Kate Gamble, South Bend, Ind., Mrs. James (Irene) Binkley and Mrs. Henry (Gertrude) Cravens, both of this city; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
