ROCKFORD - Lucille A. Bollinger, 94, of Rockford, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at Maplewood of Shane's Village in Rockford. She was born February 14, 1909 in Rockford, the daughter of Luther and Maude (Brookhart) Adams. On August 26, 1929 she married Vilas Bollinger, who preceded her in death in 1991. She attended the Rockford Methodist Church and had lived in that area all her life.
Surviving are a son, Richard (Alice) Bollinger of Berne, Indiana; four daughters, Esther (Denton) McMahn of Huntsville, Al., Miriam (Donald) Baer of Paulding, Martha (Robert) Burns of Rockford and Sharon (Gary) Kimmel of Celina; 16 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Also preceding her in death were a son, Robert, two grandsons and a great great grand daughter.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, May 7, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Mike Burne officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford. Visitiation will be one hour prior to services.
