Mrs. Sarah Keiser, widow of the late Peter A. Keiser, of this city, and Mrs. Adeline Layser, widow of the late David Layser, of Millbach, died on Sunday evening within several hours of each other. Both were victims of congestion of the lungs, following an Illness of about three weeks. Each knew of the others illness, but neither had been informed of the serious condition of the other. Mrs. Layser died just before six o'clock and two hours later Mrs. Keiser followed her in death. Both women had lived long and useful lives, one having passed the four score milestone. Mrs. Keiser was 82 years old. They were the daughters of Philip Moore, of Millbach, and were very well known. Both are highly esteemed and their deaths are keenly felt by the surviving children and a wide circle of friends. Mrs. Keiser survived her husband thirty years, most of which time she resided at the home, 519 Cumberland Street, where death occurred. She is survived by the following children: A. M. Keiser, Cornwall; W. P. Keiser, Grantville; C. A. Keiser, Miss Ada S. Keiser, with whom she lived, and former District Attorney P. S. Keiser, of this city. She was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mrs. Layser was twice married, her first husband being a Mr. Person. She then married David Layser, whom she also survived. Two sons, M. M. Person and David Layser Jr., both of Millbach, survive. She was a member of the Millbach church. She was 73 years old. John B, Moore, of Reading, is the only surviving member of the family.
