Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at a 2:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville for Norris J. "Toto" Begnaud, age 89, who passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville.
Interment will be in St. Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville. The Rev. Keenan Brown, pastor of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus. The songs will be Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, Just A Closer Walk With Thee and Yahweh is My Shepherd.
Mr. Begnaud was a native and a lifelong resident of Arnaudville. He retired as a electrician. Mr. Begnaud was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Francis Regis Catholic Church in Arnaudville.
Survivors include one daughter, Leanna Bonin and her husband, Aymar, of Arnaudville; three grandchildren, Ricky Bonin and his wife, Caroline, of Broussard, Kimberly Taylor and her husband, Bernard, of Arnaudville and Joni Cormier and her husband, Kent, of Scott; and five great grandchildren, Brooke Bonin, Ryan Bonin, Chance Taylor, Cameron Cormier and Nicholas Cormier.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Bergeron Begnaud; and his parents, Robert Joseph Begnaud and his mother, the former Althea Hardy both natives of Arnaudville.
