Ethel Purvis (17 May 1872-17 December 1944) married Bartow Bee Ramage (8 August 1860-30 September 1927) on 26 June 1894 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Bartow Bee Ramage was a Episcopal minister in Tennessee, Texas and Mississippi. The children of Bartow Bee and Ethel Purvis Ramage were: Ethel Ramage (2 November 1897-26 December 1967) and Sarah Thorpe Ramage (11 February 1906-10 June 1997). Neither daughter married and both were professors at Sweet Briar College in Virginia.
