MANCHESTER DEPOT - Services were held Aug 30, at the Carlton Funeral Home in Hudson Falls, N.Y., for Willilliam M. Tifft, 60, who died Aug 28 in a nursing home in Hudson Falls, N.Y.
He was born in Rupert March 29, 1895, son of the late Waldo Tifft and Mary E. Tifft.
He is survived by his wife; Mary J. (Boomer) Tifft; his mother, now Mrs. Dwight Jones of Manchester Depot; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Wolcott of Castleton; three half sisters, Mrs. Bessie Pease of East Arlington, Mrs. Ruby Frost and Mrs. Shirley Stone of Manchester Depot; two half brothers, Deforest and Albert Jones of East Arlington; an aunt, Mrs. Cora Thomas of Bennington; an uncle, Edgar Tifft of Dorset, and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Donald R. Lewis, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Moss St. Cemetery, Hudson Falls, N.Y.
