Linus (Len) Braunger, 67, of 1500 NW 22nd Ave. in Faribault died Thursday, April 29,1993, at the District One Hospital in Faribault. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Immaculate Conception Church in Faribault with the Rev. George J. Freeman officiating. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery with members of the Faribault Veterans service organizations providing military services. Visitation will be at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault 2-8 p.m. Sunday and on Monday morning until the hour of services. Parish prayers will be recited at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon with members of the Faribault Council 889, Knights of Columbus in attendance. Linus Frank Braunger, son of Frank and Catherine Weber Braunger, was born in Lake Henry Township, Stearns County, Aug. 29,1925. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He married Dolores Pelzel at St. Mary's Church in Sleepy Eye. He worked at Lamperts Yard in LeSueur from 1950-1957 and from 1957-1988 was part owner and manager of the Chadderdon Lumber Co. in Faribault. He was a longtime member of the VFW Club, the American Legion Club, the Elks Club and the Moose Club, where he was a past governor. He is survived by his wife Dolores; three daughters, Linda (and Tom) Ruuhela of Lewisville, Texas, Kathryn (and Robert) Jones of Faribault and Mary (and Gordon) Taggart Chandler, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Francis Braunger of St. Peter; five sisters, Sylvia Iffert of Morgan, Anna Walter of Clements, Rita Steffensmeier of Morgan, Rosula Senger of Clements, Florence Kerkoff of Willmar and Dorothy 0Callahan of Springfield; and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Edward in 1969; a
sister, Sister Mary Vivian; and a brother, Eugene.
