Mrs. John Beauchamp, 98, of 3003 Washington Street died Saturday at 3:40 p.m. at her home. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Sorrells and Sons Chapel with the Rev. John Cope officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
Born December 23, 1880 in Sherman, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.V. Herndon. She was married to John Beauchamp on June 27, 1900 and he preceded her in death in 1927. Mrs. Beauchamp moved to Greenville when she was three years old, attended Greenville schools and Hamilton College in Lexington, Ky. She was a member of Central Christian Church since childhood.
Survivors include two sons, John Herndon Beauchamp of Fort Worth and James Vance Beauchamp of Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Clark of Fort Worth and Miss Augusta Beauchamp of Greenville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
