MRS. EUGENIA H. SHEALY
SALUDA - Mrs. Eugenia Herlong Shealy, 90, of Route 4; widow of Rufus B. Shealy, died Feb. 5, 1987, at the Saluda Nursing Center.
Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late John Herlong and Emmie Grigsby Herlong Padgett. She was a member of Emory United Methodist Church and the choir.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Elgia (Doris) Sheppard of Sliverstreet, Mrs. Sam P. (Mildred) Holstein of Monetta and Mrs. John D. (Anne) Thompson of Saluda; four sons, Alton Shealy, Julius Shealy, Ed Shealy and James B. "Shake" Shealy, all of Saluda; three sisters, Mrs. H.L. Calk of Saluda, Mrs. Willie Wright-of Ward and Mrs. J.B. Hill of Ware Shoals; and a brother, Walter J. Padgett of Saluda; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grand-
children.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Emory United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wash Belangia and the Rev. John Bouknight officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body is at Ramey Funeral Home North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight and will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Mrs. J.D. Thompson, Batesburg Highway.
Memorials may be made to Emory United Methodist Church Perpetual Care cemetery fund or to the Saluda Nursing Center.
