Doris Shealy Sheppard, 82, widow of Elgia V. Sheppard, of 51 Church St., died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002.
Survivors: A daughter, Nina Yonce, of Johnston; a son, Gene Sheppard, of Morganton, N.C.; a sister, Ann S. Thompson, of Saluda; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased: Parents, Rufus B. and Eugenia Herlong Shealy; a sister, Mildred S. Holstein; and brothers, Alton, James, Julius and Ed Shealy.
Visitation: 5 to 7 tonight at the Whitaker Funeral Home. Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Silverstreet Lutheran Church. Burial: Church cemetery.
