Biddy came with her family to Nottingham twp., Harrison Co., by 1840. It appears her family included Zaza (a son), Arnetta, Lydia, and Calvin. In 1850, they lived in Franklin twp., Harrison Co., Ohio. By 1860, the family lived in the village of Deersville, where Biddy resided with son, Calvin and his family. Biddy died at Deersville in 1872 and is buried next to her daughter, Arnetta. No marker was found in 1987. The Donnells were the only Black family in the area.
According to the Race and Slavery Petition Project at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Biddy and all her children were "owned from 1827" as an inheritance. More research needs to be done.
