Henry was about fourteen when he emmigrated with his parents in 1775 from Ireland.

Henry lived for a short time in North Carolina and he and his brother, Abraham served in the American Revolution. He inlisted in the early summer of 1781 and served six weeks there. He then moved to Abbeville, South Carolina and enlisted there about September 1781. He served in the Calvery as a private in Capt. James Giles and Mill's Companies in Col. William Polk's and Wm. Hill's Regiments. He was in the battle of Broom's old field at Dorchester and a battle near Savannah.

Marriage record revealed Henry Livingston and Mary Fraser married in October 1798 in Edgefield, South Carolina.

Henry was about thirty seven and Mary was about twenty-two when they married.

The 1800 census revealed Henry had one slave and they were living in Abbeville County, South Carolina. Household members: Henry (26-44), Mary (16-25) and Jane (under 10).

The 1810 census revealed Henry had one slave and they were living in Abbeville County, South Carolina. Household members: Henry (45 & up), Mary (26-44), John (under 10), one male (16-25), one female (under ten) and Jane (10-15).

The 1820 census revealed Henry had three slaves and two household members engaged in agriculture. Household members: Henry (45 & up), Mary (26-44), one male (under 10), three males (10-15), John and one male (16-25).

The 1830 census revealed Henry had five slaves. Henry was a planter and lived at White Lick Plantation. He was granted a pension in October 26, 1832.

The (S.A.R.) Sons of American Revolution Membership Application revealed Henry was born in 1761 in Antrim, Ireland and died on June 12, 1836 in Abbeville County, South Carolina. His parents were Bruce Livingston and Jane McElroy. He was married to Mary Fraser.

They had been married thirty-seven years when Henry died on June 12, 1836 in Abbeville County, South Carolina.
