Alford, Donald L. went home to be with his Lord on April 7, 2004. He was born June 3, 1926 at Pickton, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. Will Alford.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Zenobia (Nobie) Alford.

He is survived by two sisters, Minnie Lee Coats of Terrell, Texas and Jessie Pearl Corwin of Pensacola, FL; brothers-in-law, Dale Fields and wife Louise of Talihina, OK; Glen Fields and wife, Barbara of Idabel, OK; James Fields and wife, Janey of Farmers Branch, TX; two sisters-in-law, Neva Cockerham and husband, Thomas Cockerham of Millerton, OK; Sharon McKeever and husband, Shorty McKeever of Valliant, OK; numerous nieces and nephews and double cousins.

He was employed for Varel Mfg for 20 years and Forney Engineering for 22 years. He served in the military service twice, World War II and Korean War in the naval branch. He has been a member of Maple Lawn/Marsh Lane Baptist Church for 45 years. He was a deacon for several years and taught a Sunday school class of junior boys. He was an active member of the Caleb Sunday School Class.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 10, 2004 at Marsh Lane Baptist Church, Dallas, TX, corner of Royal and Marsh Lane.... Interment Restland Memorial Park. Family to receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday, April 9, 2004 at Restland Funeral Home....
