Bertha was the daughter of Odin and Cora Esbrook Olson, who until at least 1905 spent her life in Marinett County, Wisconsin.

On 31 May 1910 she married Andrew Francis Cunningham at St. John's Catholic Church in Onaka, Faulk, South Dakota.

They lived in LaValley, Lincoln County, Split Rock, Minnehaha County, Montrose, McCook County and finally settled down in Sioux Falls 1943 where they lived out the rest of their lives.

Andrew and Bertha were parents of 13 known children: Charles "Carl" Andrew, Vincent James, Earl William, Louis Flavin, Frances Mary (Rothans), Mary Ellen (Kutil), Doris Wilma (Mathison), Agnes R. (Gallagher), Catherine (Pease), Margaret, John E., Patricia, and Michael.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wenesday at St. Joseph Cathedral for Mrs. Andrew Cunningham, 79, of 324 N. Lake Ave.

Parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Barnett Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Cunningham died in a local hospital Sunday.

Bertha Olson was born May 13, 1888, at Wausaukee, Wis. She was married at Onaka in 1910. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1941.

Surviving are the widower: four sons Vincent, Louis, and Michael, all of Sioux Falls; Earl, Parker; six daughters, Mrs. Frances Rothans, Mrs. Mary Kutil, Mrs. Joseph Gallagher, and Mrs. Robert Jones, all of Sioux Falls; Mrs. Emery Pease, Kansas City, MO.; Mrs. Kenneth Mathison, Newberg, Wash.; 42 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Olson, Wausaukee, and five sisters, Mrs. Francis Rogness and Mrs. Wilma Spencer, both of Oshkosh, Wis., and Mrs. Mildred Smith, Mrs. Grace Abel and Mrs. Cora Horn, all of Marnette, Wis."
