MR. HAROLD R. ANGLE, 72, formerly of Greencastle, Pa., died late Thursday afternoon, March 8, 2012, at the Community Living Center of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Martinsburg, W.Va.
Born Oct. 10, 1939, in Welsh Run, Pa., he was a son of the late H. Raymond and Nellie V. Shinham Angle.
Harold was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by siblings, Dorothy J. Mills of Chambersburg, Eleanor L. Miller of Mercersburg, John E. Angle of Greencastle and Charles L. Angle of Smithsburg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth R. and Donald E. Angle; his nephew, Dale R. Angle; and niece, Robin Angle.
The Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, handled the arrangements.
There was no calling at the funeral home. A graveside service was held Saturday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at Welsh Run Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Mercersburg. The Rev. Paul A. Martin officiated.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Palliative Care Nursing Home B, sent in care of Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, 510 Butler Ave., Martinsburg, WV 25405; or to Welsh Run Church of the Brethren, 11420 Welsh Run Road, Mercersburg, PA 17236.
