Deceased was born in Germany, Nov. 11, 1850, and her marriage to Carl Gierke took place in Sheboygan, August 2, 1872. The couple made their permanent home in the town of Sheboygan Falls. Mr. Gierke preceded his wife in death in February eight years ago.
Survivors are; the following children, Mrs. William Eickhoff of Kiel; William Gierke, St. Joe, Mo.; Carl, at home; Mrs. Fred Eick, and Mrs. Emily Truttschel, Town Mosel; Oscar Gierke, Town Herman, Erwin Gierke, St. Nazianz, and Gustave Gierke, Sheboygan. There are also 16 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. William Mirrow of Sheboygan, and a brother, Carl Krebbin of Biedeko, Germany.
