Lois Lick Norris
Lois Lick Norris, age 86, of North East, went to be with the Lord on Thursday March 8, 2012 at Ball Pavilion. She was born on May 25, 1925 in North East, Pa. to the late Russell and Alice Meehl Lick.
Lois graduated North East High School and attended Grove City College.
She was formerly employed with the North East School System driving school bus for 16 years until retirement.
Lois was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in North East where she served as former Deacon and sang in the choir. She loved her family, yard work, and traveling.
Preceded in death are her husband Robert F. Norris whom she married February 16, 1945 and a nephew Doug Aiton.
She is survived by a daughter, Sally Murray (Robert) of North East; and their children, Mark Murray (Stephanie) and Jeff Murray (Lisa); a son, Jack R. Norris (Louise) of Edgeworth, Pa.; and their children, Alicia Johncour (Duke), Sallie Wick (Dave), Kara Smith (Joel), Jaclyn Madden (Kevin) Sean Norris (Kate), Alexis Maida (Marco) and Ian Norris; sister & brother-in-law, Jack and Ruth Aiton; a niece, Nancy Aiton (Jim) and nephew Tom Aiton (Fran).
Lois's family would like to thank the staff at Barnabas Court, Ball Pavilion and the Community Nursing Service of North East, Hospice, and to Barb Blount for all the care, compassion, and support throughout Lois's time of need.
Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, North East on Sunday 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in North East. Officiating the service Dr. Rev. Gregg Townsend.
Interment North East Cemetery.
