He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bowermaster, and was born near Leesburg. He was a retired lumberman and had been chief sawyer at saw mills most of his life time.
Surviving are his wife, who was Miss Catherine Miller, and these children: J. Ralph and John C., of Canton, Ohio; James R., at home; Mrs. Jacob McBeth, Hagerstown, Md., and Misses Sue and Pearl at home. Also one sister, Mrs. Harry Burns of town.
Funeral services, with Rev. D. J. Wentzel officiating, were held from his late home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and internment made in Spring Hill cemetery.
