Alexander Bowles, age 34, died April 10, 1884.

He was born June 22, 1849 at Greenfield, Dade County, Missouri, the son of Thomas Philip Bowles and Huldah (Stockstill) Bowles.

He had the following siblings: Nancy, William A., Mary Elizabeth, Baron Dekalb, Decatur, Louise, Ann Eliza, Justeen (buried at Pennsboro), and Patsy Bowles.

He and Narcissus B. Steeley (buried at Pennsboro) were married May 9, 1870 in Pettis County, Missouri; they had the following children: William Alexander, Price Austin, John Thomas, Jasper W. "Watt," George Hardin, Eliza Modina, and Clinton Britton Bowles.
