Israel Hind, Sr. die intestate. Soon after his death Benoni Armstrong and Peter Gilstrap appraised his estate. Here is a partial inventory of the property of Israel Hind, Sr, deceased:

At the meeting called to divide the real estate Israel, Jr.and his wife Polly bought three several quarter sections of land for eighty five dollars. The remaining heirs, William,James, Samuel, Polly, Nancy, and Catharine Ann, wife of Rueben Denny severaly and mutually agreed that a certain partition of three quarters of land was an equable and just division and partition among them. James Hind, Rueben R. Denny and wife Catharine Ann inherited jointly the SW quarter of section 5, township 1 N, range 4 E,subject to the widow's dower therein.
