Funeral services for Jim Robbins, 81, of Lubbock will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005, at Sanders Memorial Chapel with the Rev. John Ballard officiating. Burial will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 7 until 8 p.m. today, Dec. 27, at the funeral home.

He passed away Monday, Dec. 26, at Covenant Medical Center.

Jim was born May 23, 1924 in Eden. He graduated from Lubbock High School and attended Texas Tech University for two years. Jim was a veteran of World War II. He was a longtime member of the Downtown Bible Class and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He spent much of his life in the used car business and owned Jim Robbins Motor Company for many years.

Jim was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother, Wilma Robbins, Lydia Crosby, Edna Emery, Bernise Taylor, and Dale Robbins. He is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
