Hello, this is from the Houston Chronicle, Sunday, October 18, 1931 paper:
PIONEER WOMAN TO BE BURIED AT 3 P.M. MONDAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Eliza Grainger DeLesdernier, 83, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Thurman Adkins, 1818 Brazos, at 9:30 p.m. Friday, will be held Monday, 3 p.m. at the Fogle-West funeral chapel. Rev. T.J. Windham will officiate and burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Fogle-West. Mrs. DeLesdernier was born in Houston in a residence located on the present site of the Post-Dispatch building, Texas and Fannin. when she was a child the population of the village of Houston was 300. Mrs. DeLesdernier was an active member of the Sincere Chapter of Rebekah Lodge. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. George M. Murray of Galveston, Mrs. W.W. Berry of Honolulu, Mrs. B.M. Carr of Chicago and Mrs. Adkins of Houston; one son, John R. DeLesdernier of Houston, one brother C.J. Grainger of Palestine; two sisters, Mrs. J.W. Cunningham of Palestine, and Mrs. O.L. Brown of St. Louis; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren
