                  These Have Died.

      William S. Brockway, aged 70 years, died at his residence in East Brainerd on Tuesday morning, April 7th, of diabetes and Bright's disease of the kidneys.
      The deceased was born in New Brunswick, Charlotte county, on May 14th, 1826, and resided there until he was 32 years of age. On May 10th, 1848, he was united in marriage to Miss Jane Stewart, and to them five children were born, Mrs. E. H. Simmons and W. E. Brockway of this city, Mrs. E. E. Daniels, of Staples, Mrs Frank Thorndyke, of Big Stone City, S. D., and Daniel Brockway, of Champlin, Anoka county. In 1858 Mr. Brockway came with his family to Minnesota, locating at Minneapolis, afterwards removing to Champlin. Previous to his coming to Brainerd in 1882 he followed the lumbering business. In this city he has conducted a grocery store for some years and was engaged in that business at the time of his death. He was a man well known and universally respected and the community extends their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved wife and children. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Baptist church, Rev. W. H. Travis officiating. Among the relatives and acquaintances from other points who were in attendance at the funeral were David Gow and Mrs. Maggie Menzer, of Anoka, and George and Norman Brockway, of Champlin.
