Funeral services were held Sunday in the
chapel of the Gallant Funeral Home for
Betty Jean Jeans, who died Friday (Sept.
2, 1989) in the Huntsville Hospital. She was
62.

The Rev. Bruce Potter officiated. Burial
was in Rose Hill Cemetery beside her late
husband, Raymond Jeans, who died in
1985.

A native of Decatur, Ala., she was the
daughter of the late Jim and Alma Ramsey,
a retired seamstress with the Serbin Dress
Plant and a member of the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty
Carol Poole of Fayetteville and Tina Tipton
of Huntsville, Ala.; a son, Wayne Jeans
of Fayetteville; three sisters, Sarah
Tillman and Robbie Pierce, both of
Fayetteville, and Katherine Steelman
of Flintville; and four grandchildren.
